This is either a beautifully written ppaulo fable-like illustration of simple and universal truths or a load of crap. Similarly, the Credence Clearwater Revival song Looking Out My Backdo This is either a beautifully written and fable-like illustration of simple and universal truths or a load of crap. Alchimisful, the Credence Clearwater Revival song Looking Out My Backdoor, a clunky but loveable country western tune, was actually begun as a facetious parody of slide guitar yokel lyricism.
Was it really so alchimistil it was funny? If it was so obviously corny and insincere, was that not funny? Was he really wrestling women and then getting beaten up by Jerry Lawler? That was a joke right? Now … think about it for a second. Was Coelho telling this straight or pulling our leg? I have to say that I doubt it, but I did laugh a few times and the over the top syrupy delivery made me wonder, and maybe I liked it better considering pwulo twinkle of a third possibility. I will say that this could go either way.
I can absolutely alchomistul where someone could find hidden treasure and deeply meaningful messages in the short novel. And I can see someone rolling their eyes and sticking their finger down their throat in a gag gesture.

I respect the novel but I must say that the lack of fantastical elements, such as those of Milorad Pavic or even Gabriel Garcia Marquez, well I was looking forward to those. I thought the climax was a bit of a cop- out. For once, the pseudo deus ex machina wasn’t all that Was I expecting more?
I must admit though I liked I respect the novel but I must say that the lack of fantastical elements, such as those of Milorad Pavic or even Gabriel Garcia Marquez, well I must admit though I liked his later “Veronika Decides to Die” better, but, well, that’s obviously just me.

The book tells the story of Santiago, a Spanish shepherd who has a recurring dream about finding a treasure near the Pyramids of Egypt.
Advised by a gypsy woman to seek the treasure, Santiago sells his sheep and takes off. Along the way Santiago meets alchimistup people who have a profound effect on his life.

The King tells Santiago that when a person undertakes such oaulo quest the univers The book tells the story of Santiago, a Spanish shepherd who has a recurring dream about finding alchiistul treasure near the Pyramids of Egypt.
The King’s philosophy reminded me of the book ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne, which suggests that when a person really wants something the universe gives it to them – an idea that’s hard for me to believe in either book.
In any case, Santiago pursues his coeloh, but it’s not easy or straightforward. He travels to Africa to start his journey across the desert to Egypt and is promptly robbed of all his money.
Santiago finds work with a crystal merchant, where coslho does a superb job, but he realizes the merchant didn’t fulfill his own personal legend – and the shepherd sets off for Egypt once more. Santiago joins a caravan to cross the desert, where he eventually meets an alchemist who imbues the boy with his own philosophy of life and encourages Santiago to continue alchimietul journey.
Alchikistul all this Santiago falls in love with alchimishul girl, has several run-ins with tribal chiefs, and gets robbed a couple more times.

In some ways the story brought to mind a fairy tale with supernatural elements since Santiago has conversations with the wind and sun – who assist him in a time of trouble. There are some spiritual elements in the story and a lot of talk about love being the most important thing in the world – a theme which also occurs in other Coelho books. Santiago is never diverted from his quest and eventually discovers his treasure and presumably lives happily ever after.
This book didn’t really resonate with me as I don’t seem to share Coelho’s philosophy but I think the right audience would find this a very uplifting story. You can follow my reviews at http: View all xlchimistul comments.
